Bus Information
Aspire utilizes a shuttle bus system to bus Firebirds from locations all over the district.
Shuttle to Aspire
- The shuttle picks up students from their home elementary school.
- Get to your home elementary school by riding the elementary school bus from the stop near your home, walking (if you live within that elementary school's walk zone), or having a family member drop you off.
- Wait in the designated area for the Aspire shuttle.
- Follow all school bus rules and regulations — no horseplay.
- Do not enter the elementary school. The shuttle wait location is designated outside the school.
- The shuttle will drop you at Aspire.
Shuttle from Aspire
- The Aspire shuttle takes students to their home middle school.
- Once there, students can catch their home middle school bus to their designated bus stop, walk (if they live within the middle school's designated walking zone), or be picked up.
- If riding the middle school bus home, wait in the designated bus waiting area.
- Follow all school bus rules and regulations — no horseplay.
- Do not enter the school. Only students participating in middle school sports are permitted to enter the building after the final bell rings.
Aspire students are expected to be safe and respectful, whether they are at their home elementary school, home middle school, or at Aspire.
Bus Registration
All bus riding students must register to ride the bus.
Questions?
SMART tag System
NTPS uses SMART tag. Students scan off and on the bus daily to help us keep track of bus riders!
How does it work?
Students are issued an identification card that they wave past a card reader to log on and off the bus. This tool helps keep track of all our riders, making sure everyone is on the right bus and using the correct stop. It has increased the safety and security of our transportation system.
Lost tag?
Contact your school office as soon as possible to obtain a replacement tag.
What do families need to do?
Make sure your student has their badge with them when they ride the bus. Download the app and activate your family account to access push notification settings and more.
Note: Riders are marked inactive after 20 total days of not riding the bus
Students who have not used transportation for a total of 20 days will be marked as inactive in the SMART tag system and will be unable to ride the bus. Please contact NTPS Transportation to reactivate a student.
Please ensure your student is waiting at their designated bus stop 5 minutes prior to the listed stop time in Smart Tag. The auto-generated text alerts are not always accurate due to factors such as construction delays and tablet connection issues. If dispatch is aware of a late bus, they will send out a push notification to all families on the route that have signed up for alerts.
